Paulinho glad to link up with Sandro

Samba spirit is high in our ranks at the moment – with our Brazilian midfield pair relishing the chance to link up in North London.
Paulinho has taken the headlines this week after scoring our dramatic late winner at Cardiff City in the Premier League last Sunday, and following up on that with our second goal in Tuesday night’s 4-0 mauling of Aston Villa in the Capital One Cup.
And the box-to-box powerhouse has spoken of his delight after a great week’s work – adding that the chance to play alongside fellow countryman Sandro at the heart of our midfield has only heightened his excitement.
“I’m very happy because we won again, I scored again and then I did a dance with Sandro!” said Paulinho, referring to Tuesday night’s victory, which earned us a home tie against Hull City in the Fourth Round of the Capital One Cup.
“It was a very good performance. He (Sandro) was injured, now he’s back strong and we’re all happy to see him back. It was a very good result, now we train and wait for a big game on Saturday. Now we all think about Saturday.”
As Paulinho alluded to, we have now turned our attentions to this weekend’s London derby against Chelsea. And the summer arrival from Corinthians believes we are capable of toppling Jose Mourinho’s men as we strive to build on the momentum that has been amassed in recent weeks.
“We have a big match against Chelsea, a very good club, but I think we can play well on Saturday to get three points,” he added.
