Spurs U19s 0-3 Leicester City
Pat Holland was full of encouragement from the performance of a young U19 side including one U18 player and the rest U17s and schoolboys.
Leicester opened the scoring on the break after 35 minutes, scored a second goal via a controversial penalty just before half-time and wrapped it up with a third 20 minutes from time.
Coach Pat reflected: "We actually played some good possession football in the first half, got behind them a couple of times and whipped a couple of good crosses in.
"But they then hit us on the break and scored at the near post.
"That was a bit of a blow but they were then awarded a penalty when the linesman flagged for something the referee didn't see, a handball in the area. I thought it was a little harsh and they scored from the penalty.
"It was always going to be difficult for us after that but we brought on a couple of schoolboys for the second half, Simon Dawkins and Claude Seanla, and they did well. We held our own but lost a third goal on about 70 minutes.
"I don't think 3-0 was a fair reflection of the game and I've got to say I was pleased with the performance overall. It was a young side, good experience for them and it looks good for next season."
