Party time for Juniors!

23 December 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

A host of First Team and Spurs Ladies players made it a Christmas to remember for some lucky One Hotspur Junior members.

The 50 young fans had won a competition to attend the annual One Hotspur Junior Christmas Party at White Hart Lane with some special guests.

The likes of Dele Alli, Mousa Dembele, Erik Lamela, Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, Heung-Min Son and Kevin Wimmer were all in attendance, along with Ladies stars Kelly Blanchflower, Lucia Leon, Sophie McClean, Maya Vio and Ren Williams.

But before the fun and games kicked off, there was a particularly memorable moment for one young fan – seven-year-old Roxanne Ball.

Roxanne was nominated for our Hotspur Hero award by her mum, Louise, for how she uses Spurs songs to help her four-year-old brother overcome a severe speech impediment.

What a way to reward this young hero as her own idol and One Hotspur Junior President, Harry Kane, entered the Party with an eight-piece band playing one of the all-time favourite chants – ‘Oh When the Spurs.’

It was a fitting way to start the event before Harry’s team-mates entered and the players were each assigned a station, which teams of youngsters rotated around.

Games enjoyed by those in attendance included darts, flashing skittles and tin can alley, with all players taking part in an autograph session for the youngsters.

Harry Kane said: “The Junior Christmas Party is always a highlight of the year for us – seeing how excited the youngsters are at coming to the Lane and meeting some of their favourite players is great.

“These are our fans of the future so it’s important for us to spend some time meeting them, especially at Christmas when it means that little bit more.

“It was also great to meet Roxanne and present her with her deserved Hotspur Hero award. I was touched to hear about how her support of Spurs helps her little brother with his challenges, so I hope that we have given Roxanne and her family a Christmas to remember today.”

The chance to attend the Christmas Party is one of many exclusive benefits available to One Hotspur Junior members throughout the year – memberships are now available from just £5 for the rest of the season!
