'Our fight cannot be questioned' - Danny
06 September 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Danny Rose has been impressed by the total commitment shown by our players in the first four games of the season, in spite of the results not going our way.
The flying left-back came into the starting line-up for last weekend’s stalemate with Everton for his first appearance of the campaign, having been named on the bench in our consecutive draws against Stoke and Leicester over the preceding fortnight.
While he shared the frustration of his playing colleagues and fans alike after we could only share the spoils in all three of our most recent matches following a 1-0 defeat at Manchester United on the opening day, the 25-year-old believes levels of determination similar to what we’ve seen so far in 2015-16 will soon see the wins start to arrive.
“I don’t think our fight can ever be questioned, especially if you see what goes on in training with people putting challenges in,” said Danny.
“Sometimes we’ve been a bit naïve, conceded silly goals and not been able to see out games, but the fight, if I’m honest, can never be questioned from this team.
“We’ve got a little while until our next game, but when that comes I think we have to build on what we did defensively against Everton – that’s the six back players as well as Hugo.
“We have to keep encouraging Harry as well. As long as we can keep doing that, the goals will come for him and the rest of the team.”
