Ossie meets the fans in China

Guangzhou Supporters Club had a special visit from Club legend Ossie Ardiles, who is currently in China taking part in the second season of the country’s nationwide grassroots programme, Football Dream.

Ossie, along with members of the Club’s Global Coaching team, made a surprise appearance with the group at McCawley’s in Guangzhou, where the group meet regularly to watch all Spurs games, and spent time signing autographs, having photographs and even joining in with a bit of karaoke!

Guangzhou Supporters Club, based in China’s third largest city, is one of the ever-growing global network of Official Supporters Clubs.

Ossie said: “It was clear to see the level of passion Guangzhou Supporters Club has for Tottenham Hotspur and it was a pleasure to be able to meet them during this trip. The number of football fans across China is rapidly increasing and it makes me proud to see so many Spurs supporters here.”

The former Club captain will be visiting a number of different cities in China, including Nanjing for AIA’s Football Carnival and Suzhou for one of four Mega Selections taking place across the country as part of the Football Dream initiative, aiming to unearth China’s top young footballing talent.
