Arsenal can return to the top of the Premiership - for 24 hours at least - if they can defeat Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby at Highbury on Saturday.
The Gunners have had the upper hand in recent meetings with their near neighbours failing to triumph at Highbury in their last nine games - Spurs' longest run without a win at the home of their rivals.
And not many people outside White Hart Lane will give Spurs much chance of breaking this trend on Saturday considering they are suffering a bit of a blip in form at the moment.
Glenn Hoddle's team have taken just one point from their last three Premiership games and suffered an exit from the Worthington Cup at the hands of Burnley.
Opta's statistics do not provide much comfort to Spurs with Arsenal looking superior in many departments. And nowhere is this truer than in front of goal with the champions shooting accuracy of 51% considerably better than their rivals return of 36%.
The fact that Sylvain Wiltord and Thierry Henry have managed 42 shots on target between them this season - just nine fewer than the entire Spurs squad have managed in the Premiership in the opening three months - reflects the kind of pressure Hoddle's team are likely to find themselves under.
Nevertheless the Gunners' nil-nil draw with PSV Eindhoven in midweek was the first time Arsene Wenger's men had failed to score in 32 matches and perhaps is a little consolation to Tottenham goalkeeper Kasey Keller.
At the other end of the field is likely to be Rami Shaaban making his Premiership debut. With David Seaman ruled out with a groin problem, the Swedish-born stopper is fancied to get the nod ahead of Stuart Taylor.
In Shaaban's first appearance for the club on Tuesday night, against PSV, he made three saves and kept a clean sheet. A similar performance on Saturday coupled with an Arsenal win is sure to send him on his way to becoming a new Highbury favourite.
