Tottenham travel to Villa Park on Saturday looking for their first Premiership double of the 2002-03 campaign.
Glenn Hoddle's men won 1-0 when these two teams met in north London last August and a repeat scoreline will appease those critics who claimed Spurs' season was in danger of petering out following their FA Cup exit at Southampton a fortnight ago.
The north Londoners are just four points off a Champions League place and need another win to maintain their European challenge. Nevertheless it will be difficult against a Villa side who have won their last three Premiership matches at home and historically have not lost a match to Tottenham in 17 years on their own turf.
The Villans gave a good account of themselves at Liverpool last weekend with Dion Dublin's successful penalty earning the team a share of the spoils and they had the opportunities to actually win the contest. Dublin has netted four goals in his last four Premiership matches and the ex-Coventry City talisman is sure to be a handful for the Spurs defence.
However as Opta's statistics above show the visitors are better in front of goal with Robbie Keane's second-half hat-trick against Everton last Sunday earning him all the plaudits. The Republic of Ireland international was the main difference between the two teams and Spurs do tend to rely on him providing the impetus behind most of their attacks.
If Graham Taylor's team can keep Keane quiet then they may be able to seal a win that would take them to within three points of Tottenham in the Premiership table. Seventy-nine per cent of their 29 Premiership points in 2002-03 have come at Villa Park and are more than capable of defeating Saturday's visitors.
