Arsene Wenger admitted a second goal would have 'killed the game' for Arsenal - he's now confident his side can topple us in the second leg at the Lane.

Wenger conceded that we created the better chances in the first leg of this Carling Cup semi-final at the Emirates and described the 1-1 draw as a good result for the home side.

"He said: "We had a good start for 30 minutes but we gave a goal away and just before half-time they created two or three really good chances that they didn't take.

"In the second half we were better defensively, didn't create many chances but we had resilience and didn't give in.

"In two weeks it can change completely, I feel we are in a good position, considering the game tonight, to make it. At two-nil it would have certainly have killed the game for us and the chance to qualify maybe, but at 1-1 - we are in a good position, we can still make it. "
