Wigan boss Steve Bruce said he felt it was 'only a matter of time' before we turn the corner.

Wigan boss Steve Bruce said he felt it was 'only a matter of time' before we turn the corner.

However, Bruce also felt his side could have won it as Sunday's Premier League clash finished goalless at the Lane.

"We had an opportunity to win the game and we're disappointed," said Bruce. "We didn't make the killer pass on a couple of occasions because they were there for the taking.

"Spurs fans were unbelievable for 10 to 15 minutes in the second half and really got behind the team but once we got over that we had the chance to go and win the game but didn't take it.

"It's always difficult to come to Tottenham but we've come here and got a draw and apart from that period in the second half, I always thought we could win it.

"There is huge expectation when you play for Tottenham and you need players to perform and it's only a matter of time before they do in my opinion because they have so many top players."
