Owen Coyle was happy with his team's efforts and could only admire Tom Huddlestone's fine strike in our 1-0 win at the Lane.

"It was a good game with both teams going all out to win and it took a wonder goal to separate the teams," said Bolton boss Coyle.

"Even at 1-0 down we kept pressing forward and it's fair to say that we gave Spurs a game.

"I thought that we were terrific, accepting that Spurs have had a superb season and are quality side fighting for a Champions League spot.

"They have a superb home record given their recent results against Arsenal and Chelsea.

"Both teams had opportunities to score and we worked their goalkeeper Gomes hard, forcing him to make a couple of good saves.

"That's not to say that it was all one-way because Jussi was called into action on occasions too but our central defensive pairing kept Pavlyuchenko and Defoe quiet for long periods.

"Fourth place will be decided on Wednesday and it has the makings of a fantastic game.

"You look at both teams and there is endless talent there. It has been a fantastic race and whoever finishes there will deserve it.

"It's going to go to the wire and that's why it's the best league in the world."
