Onwards and upwards for Jacko

Chris Hughton says Johnnie Jackson must put his Leicester mishap behind him and bounce back at the next opportunity.
A slip by the 21-year-old allowed Les Ferdinand to reduce the deficit for the Foxes and Johnnie was substituted shortly afterwards. The midfielder was a goalscoring hero in the previous game at Charlton and the first team coach reasoned that every player has suffered from similar reverses in fortune.
"He is a young lad, Johnnie," reflected Chris. "All you want from these lads is for them to learn from such experiences.
"There wouldn’t be one player in the side that hasn’t gone through exactly the same. With Johnnie it is about bouncing back, not so much performance-wise, but he was at fault for Leicester’s second goal.
"He was disappointed with it, but he must put it behind him. If I look at the performances we’ve had from him we’re more than happy. It is a harsh game and he will realise the type of quality he is now up against."
Chris added that Johnnie is learning quickly in the harsh arena of the Premiership.
"Johnnie has come through the ranks here having done very well at youth and reserve level. He is now playing at the top level, which is very unforgiving when you make a mistake.
"He did get punished for a mistake, but his contribution has been really good since coming into the side. He is a young player and he will learn from it."
