One of the best

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Martin Jol believes we will be taking on one of the best teams in Europe when we come up against Lyon in Sunday's Peace Cup final.

The French champions edged out holders PSV Eindhoven to emerge as winners of Group A, while we finished top of Group B by having scored one goal more than nearest challengers Boca Juniors.

So we are all set for a big occasion at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on Sunday afternoon and the Head Coach knows the players will have to be on top of their collective game to overcome the Champions League quarter-finalists.

"I think they are one of the best teams in Europe," he reasoned. "They do well in France and have been champions for the last four years, they impress in Europe and last year they did very well - I think they were unfortunate not to go all the way to the final.

"They have excellent players. The midfield player Diarra is probably as good as Makelele, Essien is likely to move for unbelievable money and up front they have bought the Norwegian striker Carew. In short, they have a terrific side.

"We are in the final and we want to do everything to win this tournament. It will be a great experience for the younger players and even the others who don't often have the chance to play at this level.

"We can't complain at all about this tournament, we have had the opportunity to play against South Americans, Africans, a Spanish side and now will play one of Europe's best teams. It is a good challenge."

Martin, who hopes to have captain Ledley King available for the final, is full of praise for the contribution of our midfield players - but would welcome them getting in on the goalscoring act on Sunday.

"Our strikers have done very well and scored all the goals so it would be a very attractive prospect for me if the midfield would take over and score the odd goal. We are very satisfied though, Teemu Tainio has done a wonderful job and is one of the top players in this tournament while, for me, Michael Carrick has been the best.

"They have all done well and we are very optimistic."
