Today is all about Robbie Keane...
ON THIS DAY – JANUARY 12
2003 - Robbie Keane scored his first hat-trick for the club in a thrilling 4-3 win against Everton at the Lane. The Toffees took the lead through Brian McBride on 10 minutes, quickly levelled by Gus Poyet. Robbie then put us 2-1 and 3-2 up, only for the Toffees to level on both occasions. The legendary striker had the final word seven minutes from time, racing through before lifing the ball over former Spur Espen Baardsen for his hat-trick goal and the winner. 'Keano' went on to score 91 goals in the Premier League - joint-second with Jermain Defoe behind Teddy Sheringham - and is 10th on our all-time goalscoring list with 122 goals in his two spells, 2002-2008, 2009-2011.
