Jonathan Obika is determined to kick-start his campaign with his loan spell at Brighton.
The striker joined the Seagulls for a three-month stint in the Championship on Wednesday.
Jon was sidelined with an ankle injury from pre-season to January but was back on the bench for the first team in Saturday's FA Cup tie at Arsenal - that was a year on from his last involvement in the first team squad.
He didn't feature at the Emirates but showed in spectacular fashion that he was ready to burst back into form with a double hat-trick in our Spurs XI team's 10-6 friendly victory against Charlton on Tuesday.
Jon bagged a hat-trick in each half in the goal bonanza with Nacer Chadli (2), Lewis Holtby and Erik Lamela also on target.
"I was just delighted to be involved again," said Jon after being named in the 18 at Arsenal.
"I’ve been injured, been working hard in training and I’m thankful Tim put his trust in me by selecting me on the bench.
"The derby against Arsenal is one of the games everyone wants to play in and you can only learn from being involved.
"Now it's about getting game time and doing the best I can at Brighton. Hopefully I'll get amongst the goals there."
Jon was naturally elated with his double hat-trick. "It's always great to score goals and scoring six is not something that happens every day," said Jon. "As a striker you are judged on scoring goals, so I was delighted with that."
