Not to be - Ben

14 January 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Ben Davies painted a picture of the dressing room after last night’s disappointing loss to Leicester in the Premier League.

Once again we dominated for long periods but the Foxes put in a trademark resolute defensive display, were always a danger on the counter and eventually hit us with a late goal from a corner.

“We’re all gutted, the lads aren’t saying too much, pretty angry, disappointed,” said Ben just after the final whistle. “It was a big game for us and we should have been rewarded for the effort we put in but it wasn’t to be.

“Their goal was a real sucker punch after the chances we created.

“We couldn’t put our chances away, Harry hit the bar but we couldn’t find the back of the net.

“We’ll sit down and reflect on what we could have done better and get back out on the training pitch to be ready for Sunderland on Saturday.

“It’s lucky we’ve got a game so quickly so we haven’t much time to dwell on this one. We’ve got to go out there and pick up three points.”
