Not so happy Valley for Jol
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Martin Jol pointed at missed opportunities but generally had few complaints after Wednesday night's 2-0 defeat at Charlton in the Barclays Premiership.
We created plenty of chances again for an away game - just like at Southampton and Newcastle - but were left with nothing after fine strikes from Jerome Thomas and Danny Murphy.
Head Coach Martin reflected: "If you look back at the last week we've created a lot of chances, maybe less at Charlton than on Sunday and Southampton was the same story.
"The problem is we've given away easy goals but you can't say this was an easy goal by Thomas, it was an incredible shot.
"You then know as a team you have to score the equaliser in an away game and we didn't do it.
"I thought Andy Reid did well in the first 20 minutes, he provided two excellent crosses, Fredi Kanoute had two one-on-ones, Robbie Keane had a 100 per cent chance with a header so we could have scored easily in the first half, but we didn't.
"We had to take the initiative and play in their half, we did that, but perhaps we have to be cleverer. They were very aggressive at the back, we had to chase the game and maybe we looked a bit fatigued in the last 15 minutes.
"We didn't score and that's been the problem in the last two games."
