No surprises

Harry Redknapp says he's far from surprised with Fulham's flying form in the Premier League.

Harry Redknapp says he's far from surprised with Fulham's flying form in the Premier League.

Roy Hodgson's men have gone seven matches unbeaten and climbed up to eighth in the table - a run that included a 2-1 win against us at Craven Cottage in November, Harry's first defeat.

Their form at the Cottage has certainly been the key to Fulham's rise but although they have yet to win away, their recent run includes fine draws at both Liverpool and Aston Villa.

"I'm not surprised really, I like the look of them," said Harry. "I like the players Roy has brought in and the shape of the team looks good.
I could see why they've done well.

"Roy's done a great job there, he's got a decent team - well organised with good ability up front. Johnson is always lively. Our defeat there was the worst performance since I've been here but credit to them because they played well."

Naturally disappointed by that late, late defeat at Newcastle, Harry reckons it's a case of the lads looking at the positives from that game plus recent matches against United and West Ham.

"They are all important games at the moment," he added. "We've got Fulham and then West Brom - they are big games.

"We're playing very well. We beat West Ham, played well against Manchester United and Newcastle. We've got to continue to play well but pick up points out of these games.

"The lads have been excellent and the Newcastle game was another example of that, we just switched off with a minute to go and didn't defend as well as we should have done. It cost us dearly.

"It was the same as the Everton home game - we gave a free-kick away and all of a sudden switched off and they are in the box.

"We've got to make sure our concentration levels remain high or else it costs you dearly, as those two games show.

"But I'm pleased with the players overall, they have been great to work with since I've been here and we've played some great football."
