No better feeling - Younes

Younes Kaboul summed up our opening day victory at West Ham by declaring: "There is nothing better than this feeling."

Skipper on the day, Younes played his part in a defensive shut-out that eventually paved the way for debutant Eric Dier’s dramatic late winner.

The team recovered from the shock of having Kyle Naughton sent off for handball on 30 minutes - Mark Noble missed the penalty - to keep the Hammers at bay a man down until James Collins received a second yellow card to level up the numbers.

Both goalkeepers made saves after that until Eric’s goal-den moment in the third minute of injury time.

“I’m glad, delighted,” said Younes. “It wasn’t easy. We were under pressure after going down to 10 men, that’s normal, but we dealt with it.

“Then, when they had a player sent off, it was equal and we had more of the ball and were in control.

“We believed we could win when they went down to 10 men and we scored right at the end.

“You could see when Eric was going through on goal that he believed in what he was doing and we’re all delighted for him. It was a great moment and a great start for us.”
