Erik Lamela was pleased to see our fans out in force at Open Training on Thursday as Head Coach Mauricio Pochettino put the players through their paces.
Taking part in a range of drills and small-sided games in front of a large audience at White Hart Lane, the squad showcased some of the hard work that goes on every day in training.
It was a slightly lighter session after a strenuous day’s work on Wednesday, but attacking midfielder Erik was nonetheless pleased with how things went.
And he admitted seeing so many young fans in attendance brought back memories of his own childhood, when his passion for football began.
“It’s been a good day,” he said. “Today was not hard training because yesterday we worked a lot more, but it’s good to train in front of our fans and hopefully they all enjoyed it.
“It was also good to see so many young supporters out with their families, especially children who are on school holidays.
“It’s nice for them and I know what it means for them because I remember being their age and enjoying this sort of thing.”
