Confidence is key for Harry Kane - according to our legendary former skipper Ledley King.
Club great Ledley has been delighted with the form of the young striker who he saw progress quickly through the ranks during the end of his playing days at the Lane.
Harry took his tally into double-figures in all competitions this term with the recent winner at Villa and his double for England Under-21s in Monday's friendly against France made it 14 for the season for club and country.
"It’s all about confidence," said Ledley. "He’s in a great spell at the moment and every time he’s on the pitch I’m pretty sure that he feels like he can score a goal.
"When you feel like that you want the ball and you want to get your shots off which is what you want to see from a young lad.
"He wants the ball, he wants to get into positions where he has an opportunity to shoot or score a goal for the team and we saw it for the free-kick at Villa.
"That was his chance to have a shot and he wasn’t letting anyone else take it which is great to see from one so young.
"He showed mental strength to take the responsibility and obviously it worked out brilliantly in the end. Hopefully he'll maintain this form for the rest of the season."
