Tottenham Hotspur
Aaron Lennon has hailed the 'exceptional talent' at the club.
It’s been a great week for the youngsters at the club. Ryan Mason and Harry Kane scored against Forest and then Ryan made his Premier League debut at Arsenal.
Harry joined Eric Dier, Tom Carroll and Alex Pritchard in the England Under-21 squad for the Euro U21 play-off against Croatia, Milos Veljkovic will play for Serbia against Spain while Dominic Ball and Harry Winks are in the England U20 and U19 squads respectively.
Throw in first team regulars Nabil Bentaleb (19), Ben Davies (21) and Erik Lamela (22) and you can see where ‘Azza’, now our longest-serving player, is coming from.
“There are some great kids at the club and always has been,” said Aaron, who recently passed the 350-appearance milestone for us having signed in 2006.
“You only have to look at the lads who have come through like Andros, Harry Kane, Tom Carroll, Nabil, Ryan Mason, Jake Livermore, Steven Caulker - they’ve all come through the system during my time here.
“The young lads here now have trained with us a few times and I’ve been really impressed with them, they are all brilliant technically.
“If they can keep their feet on the ground and continue to work as hard as they are doing then I think you’ll see a number of great home-grown players coming through.
“The main thing is to keep their feet on the ground, work hard every day and listen to the people around them, the coaches, the senior players and try to take in as much information as they can and try to take that onto the pitch.
“It looks bright for Tottenham, there is some exceptional talent here.”
