New site - new features

Thu 03 May 2001, 12:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Your favourite Tottenham Hotspur website will soon be re-launched.

And there are areas on the new site devoted to the people the great Bill Nicholson once described as the most important at a football club — the fans.

This is your chance to get involved on the Official Spurs Website.

We share you passion for all things Spurs so let’s share a story, a laugh and a joke with the rest of the Spurs family.

Here is a taste of the features for you to take part in in our new fans’ area:

Ever worn the famous cockerel next to one of the wonders of the world? What about on holiday or even at a great sporting venue? Show us the logo and location, why you were there and if you were watching Spurs, how we got on. Perhaps you are a fan living abroad — why do you support Spurs? Drop us an e-mail and picture and we’ll get you on site.

Send us your funniest terrace chants songs and we’ll print them....or the cleaner versions at least!

For all you lookey-likies out there. Do you look like Tim Sherwood, does your dad look like John Gorman - your uncle like David Pleat? Have you spotted a look-a-like, like Darren Anderton and Shaggy? Send pictures and suggestions in and we’ll print them.

Have you ever met a Spurs player, footballer or sportsman away from his sporting environment? Has Steffen Freund chosen the same holiday resort as you and your family (and nicked the sunbeds first), do you shop in the same supermarket as Sol Campbell or bump into Sven Goran Eriksson at the cinema?

Reveal your celebrity stories and if you have a picture you can e-mail us to accompany your story, you an even better chance of it appearing here. Did your sister go out with Martin Keown.............aaaarrgh?

Ever fancied sharpening your pencil with the nation’s press at the Lane? Here is your chance. We are looking for all you budding football reporters, under the age of 16, to send us your match reports, the best of which will appear after every game on the Official Spurs Website.

You may also get the chance to see how it’s done - from time to time, we will award the best reports with a trip into the press box and managers’ post-match press conferences at home games!

We want to start with you reports from the recent Aston Villa game or Saturday's match at Leicester City. Get scribbling!!

Our new site will launch soon, so if you want to be top of the list, e-mail us NOW!
