New contract and Villa loan for Onomah

Fri 04 August 2017, 12:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Josh Onomah has signed a new contract with the Club until 2021 and has joined Aston Villa on loan for the 2017-18 season.

A graduate of our Academy system, the midfielder made his senior debut as a 17-year-old in our FA Cup third round replay against Burnley in January, 2015, and has since gone on to make 32 appearances for us in all competitions over the last two seasons.

He scored his first senior goal against Gillingham in the EFL Cup last September and made his UEFA Champions League debut away to Bayer Leverkusen shortly afterwards.

Josh was also a key member of England’s FIFA Under-20 World Cup-winning squad this summer, while he won the European Under-17 Championship with the Young Lions in 2014.
