Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Jimmy Neighbour has certainly played his part in our Under-18s' progress to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
The former Spurs winger looked after the Under-17s last season and is currently in charge of an Under-16 squad that has seen a number of players progress to the Under-18 group this term - the likes of Jamie Davis, Radwan Hamed, Troy Archibald-Henville and David Button have all played in both FA Premier Academy League and FA Youth Cup matches.
So Jimmy will be a proud man when the Under-18s run out for the first leg of the semi-final against Ipswich Town at Portman Road on Friday night. The return leg is at the Lane on Wednesday.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed the run, I don't work a lot with the Under-18s now, it's Pat's group and I passed them on last season when I had them at 17," said Jimmy.
"I'm pleased for them. You can see their improvement, you can see as a group they work well together and Pat works hard with them.
"Some of my 16s have been playing - Jamie, Radwan, Troy - and it's great they are involved. Last season I was passing 17s onto Pat for the 19s team, this time I'm passing 16s for the Under-18 group. It's ideal for them.
"Ipswich are a good side but so are we. Although we know what they are about it's important not to forget that it's about what we do.
"It's about how they perform over the two legs. We all believe it will be close, both sides will play football and neither team is too much better than the other.
"It would be great to see the lads make it through to the final, great for the club and terrific for the Academy from John Moncur to Peter Suddaby, Patsy and goalkeeper coach Perry Suckling.
"It will show the Academy is thriving and you only have to look at a couple of players who have made it into the first team, the likes of Phil Ifil, Stephen Kelly, Dean Marney, to see that. We feel we have one or two who could follow and of we get to the final, it will underline the job the Academy is doing."
