Ndlovu praise for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Peter Ndlovu praised the clinical fashion in which the team overcame Sundowns on Monday and tips the boys for victory against Real Sociedad next time out.

The former Coventry City striker, who has also had spells at Birmingham, Huddersfield and Sheffield United, has been playing for the South African side for the last year and featured against us in the Peace Cup encounter in Suwon. Two goals from Robbie Keane and a Fredi Kanoute strike effectively settled the contest before Lerato Chabangu netted a late consolation goal.

"It's going okay and you can see there is a bit of improvement in terms of the football," he considered of his side's development. "Obviously we played a very good team in Spurs and they were very professional as usual.

"We are learning, we are a big team in South Africa and, so far so good, with our performances. It is a lesson we have to take back home and, basically, good teams will punish you if you make mistakes like we did. We had a lot of chances and that is the difference between just a good team and the better teams.

"We tried as hard as we could but, at the end of the day, Spurs were too good for us," he added, before reflecting on the fact that it was a former Coventry player that inspired his side's undoing.

"Obviously you can never give strikers like him even half a chance - he doesn't need a clear chance to score. You can always count on Robbie and you also have good strikers in Fredi, Jermain and Mido, but, you can never go wrong with Robbie."

Sundowns overcame Real Sociedad by a 1-0 scoreline in their opening game and Ndlovu suspects Spurs might just be able to emulate the victory.

"I can tell you right now that we did well and contained them. It was a team effort more than anything.

"Spurs are always professional and, if they go out there and play like they did here they can score more goals."
