Nacer's goal

Tue 21 April 2015, 11:15|Tottenham Hotspur

Nacer Chadli would love to follow Christian Eriksen into double-figures in the Premier League – but like the rest of his team-mates, he’s more interested in just winning games and finishing the season on a high.

The Belgian rapped home his first goal in six matches to open the scoring in our 3-1 win against Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday.

That was his 11th in all competitions and ninth in the Premier League - Christian’s free-kick took him to 10 in the PL and on a day of goalscoring milestones, Harry Kane hit his 20th in the PL and 30th in all competitions.

“I’m working on getting to double-figures but every week the most important thing is to help the team to win,” said Nacer.

“I’m very happy for the team. We showed focus, scored three goals and created a lot of chances. It was a convincing win.

“We were all disappointed in the week and it was important to bounce back. We prepared well for the game, we all trained hard and we were focused. It was important to win.”
