Nacer keen on another home win

Nacer Chadli believes home advantage will once again work in our favour as we prepare to take on West Ham.

We’ve only lost once at White Hart Lane since November 9 – a 2-1 FA Cup reverse against Leicester City last month representing our only home defeat in the intervening time – with memorable victories against the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal having been achieved in N17 already in 2015.

Eyeing another positive performance against the Hammers on Sunday, attacking midfielder Nacer is confident we’re capable of getting the job done as we go in search of more Premier League points.

“We’re playing at home and we know that we can always take three points against any team at White Hart Lane, so it’s up to us to do the job against West Ham on Sunday,” said the Belgian international, who completed 66 minutes in Thursday night’s 1-1 draw with Fiorentina in the Europa League.

“Every game is tough but we’re ready for it. Hopefully we will play well and we’ll win the game.”

Based on the team’s experiences in midweek, Nacer has underlined how taking chances can be crucial to securing all three points.

“We had a lot of space in the first half against Fiorentina,” he added. “They played three at the back and we found a lot of one-on-one situations and created a lot of chances, but we have to score more.

“I think in the second half they played more defensive than in the first half. We were unlucky and it was a shame we didn’t score again.”
