Mousa Dembele joined local primary school students, members of the community and the Spurs Supporters’ Trust at an event held at Tottenham Cemetery this week in support of a new Commonwealth War Graves Commission initiative, The Living Memory Project.
Living Memory aims to raise awareness of war memorials across the country during 2016 – the centenary of the Battle of the Somme. There are 300,000 war graves and memorials across the length and breadth of the British Isles.
As part of the project, the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation has worked with Year Six students from Wilbury Primary School in Edmonton on an educational study into four British & Commonwealth servicemen buried at Tottenham Cemetery.
It kicks off a campaign of activity the Club is delivering in support of this year’s Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, focused around our Premier League home match with Leicester City at White Hart Lane on Saturday, October 29.
