Mounir staying positive
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Mounir El Hamdaoui is taking a positive approach to the unfortunate ankle injury that will rule him out for another fortnight.
The striker fall awkwardly and damaged his ankle in the latter stages of our reserve team opener against Watford on August 8.
Sporting a protective boot at Spurs Lodge on Monday, Mounir expects to be out for another two to three weeks - a disappointment after he featured so regularly in the first team squad in pre-season.
"Yes, I suppose it was unlucky," reflected Mounir. "It was a good game, I thought I played well and then that had to happen. Basically I was running after a pass and turned on my ankle.
"It was very painful and the ankle swelled up as soon as I took my boot off.
"It’s frustrating and couldn’t have happened at a worse time but my attitude has to be that these things happen in football, you have to get over them and come back stronger.
"It’s tough to be out at this stage but it’s something you have to deal with."
