Nacer Chadli is determined to finish the season with a flourish.

The Belgian midfielder is in a rich vein of form and followed his double against Benfica with another impressive performance in Sunday’s 3-2 win against Southampton.

Nacer has featured in 23 of our last 27 games in all competitions, starting 10, including our last three matches against Arsenal, Benfica and Southampton.

“I feel better and better every week,” said Nacer. “I felt good against Arsenal, now I've played 90 minutes against Benfica and Southampton, my fitness is getting better and I have to keep working hard but I know I can still show more.

"I have to keep going and my strength will come with more minutes. My form will also come."

Nacer told us on Monday how we needed to continue to show the ‘passion and fight’ that drove the comeback from 2-0 down against the Saints to a memorable 3-2 win.

“We have to keep going and keep working hard because there are lots of points still to play for,” he added.
