More time needed
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Glenn reports that his recovering band of players still require a period of time to attain match sharpness before they are ready to return to Premiership action.
Ledley King, Darren Anderton and Alton Thelwell have been absent all season, while Anthony Gardner, Ben Thatcher and Mauricio Taricco have been more recent inhabitants of the treatment room. Neil Sullivan and Christian Ziege are nursing longer term injuries.
King, Anderton, Thelwell and Gardner are back in reserve team action and making good progress, with Gardner featuring on the first team bench for the last two games.
Glenn feels that it is only when these players are back fully in tune with the demands of the Premiership will he have the depth of squad that he craves to cope with a long season.
"We've got an opportunity if we can keep everyone fit," reasoned Glenn. "We're getting a healthier squad, it's not quite there, it will take a couple more weeks before people are match sharp.
"Although, even when they're ready to come in, they are not Premiership sharp - that's a big difference.
"It will take a bit of time to get that strength in depth that we might have if the others stay fit.
"They all need a bit more football. They are getting there, training and playing reserve and practice matches, it's a matter of being patient.
"What you don't want to do is set them back. If we do that all the hard work goes down the pan."
