More England minutes for Dier and Rose
15 November 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
Eric Dier and Danny Rose were in action as England rounded off their business for the calendar year with a 2-2 draw with Spain at Wembley on Tuesday night (November 15).
The Three Lions had been in firm control of the friendly encounter thanks to Adam Lallana’s early penalty and Jamie Vardy’s header shortly after half-time.
But they suffered a late collapse as Iago Aspas netted in the 89th minute before substitute Isco levelled in the final seconds of added time.
Left-back Danny had left the field by the time Spain started their comeback, substituted after 79 minutes with debutant Aaron Cresswell of West Ham United on in his place, while Eric completed the full game in the holding midfield role.
Kyle Walker was an unused substitute for England, who return to action against Germany in March, 2017.
