MLS 15 - lads and supporters bring smiles to Denver hospital
29 July 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Five members of our squad, along with Club Ambassador Ledley King, joined forces with our Colorado Spurs Supporters’ Club in a toy drive for Children’s Hospital Colorado in Denver on Tuesday.
Nacer Chadli, Eric Dier, Kieran Trippier, Ben Davies and Harry Winks came bearing gifts to sick children, donated by the Club and Colorado Spurs.
Children’s Hospital Colorado is ranked as one of the top five in the country and regularly receives visits from some of Denver’s famous sports teams.
But this week was the first time an English Premier League team had graced the wards, leading to some very excited children, especially the soccer fans among them!
The lads were given Under Armour footballs and miniature ‘Chirpy’ toys to hand out to the kids as part of our continued efforts to engage with the local community wherever we visit in the world.
Our Supporters’ Clubs are known for their charitable endeavours, with a similar event happening during last summer’s US Tour in partnership with Chicago Spurs.

Also on Tuesday, Hugo Lloris, Danny Rose, Kevin Wimmer, DeAndre Yedlin, Shaq Coulthirst and Luke McGee visited Skyline Park in downtown Denver.
It is here that the MLS are running a series of public activations to generate interest for Wednesday night’s All-Stars match, and the lads were a big hit among locals as they supported a charity football match between the city’s Fire Service and Police Force.
