MLS 15 - Harry can't wait to get started
29 July 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Kane knows we’re in for a test as he prepares to step out for the first time this pre-season.
The young striker - 22 yesterday - hit 31 goals in a memorable season in 2014-15 but has said along it’s just the start – and his pre-season starts in Colorado in the early hours of Thursday morning (2.15am UK) when we line-up in the prestigious MLS All-Star Game.
The MLS have lost a few players to injury - including Spurs legend Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard - but still include the likes of another ex-Spur Clint Dempsey, David Villa and Brazilian great Kaka captains the hosts at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.
“It’s my first game of pre-season and I’m really looking forward to it,” said Harry, last season’s PFA Young Player recipient.
“It will be a great test for us. We get to watch the MLS games on TV in England and you can see the level is improving, the MLS is becoming bigger and bigger and attracting big games.
“You only have to look at the players we’ll be facing and that proves my point.
“The MLS players are also mid-season, so they will all be fit and ready to play. All the lads are excited and raring to go for this game.”
Full coverage from the lads in the USA continues on our MATCH CENTRE - and that's where we'll screen the game.
