West Ham U19s 1-1 Spurs

Boss Pat Holland admitted he was disappointed with the standard of refereeing in this draw.

Both sides ended with 10 men as Jimmy Lee was sent off for a second bookable offence in the second half.

In a scrappy affair, the home side went ahead with a disputed penalty before John Sutton finished off Dean Marney's quick thinking from a free-kick to level the scores.

"Both sides have a reputation for playing football but this was a patchy game not helped by the standard of the officials," said Pat.

"They went ahead with a penalty from a foul that looked outside the box and although we started brightly in the second half and got the equaliser the game was spoilt when their left-back was sent off for a second booking. Jimmy Lee was then sent off for kicking the ball away, a second booking. That was disappointing.

"All in all, neither team deserved to win it."
