5mins: Naysmith's header back caused Wright a few problems as Keane closed him down, sliced clearance but ball fell kindly for Everton.
7mins: Defoe tried his luck from 30 yards from Carrick's pass but shot well wide.
9mins: YELLOW CARD. Carsley for foul on Gardner.
12mins: Beattie free-kick effort from 30 yards headed clear by Jenas.
13mins: Osman volleyed over from McFadden's cross.
18mins: CHANCE. Clever ball from Carrick into Lennon, he beat Naysmith and clipped cross from byline to Gardner at far post who didn't connect well with header and Wright took in air.
20mins: Pressure from corner, Carrick let fly from edge of the box blocked by Beattie, ball fell to Lennon who rolled back for Keane to have a go, didn't get hold of it and Wright took low to his right.
22mins: Beattie tried again with a 30-yard free-kick this time crashed into the defensive wall.
27mins: SAVE. Lennon left Naysmith standing again, fizzed in near post cross that was met by Tainio's diving header, Wright knew little about it but was positioned well enough to block on the line.
28mins: Carrick's corner had Everton scrambling, ball landed at King's feet six yards out but couldn't get a decisive strike on it.
33mins: PENALTY/GOAL. Keane burst through and brought down by Stubbs in front of goal. Referee pointed to spot although Jenas scored two seconds later, referee pulled play back for the penalty kick. Keane as always took all in his stride and slotted low to Wright's left, even though keeper dived the right way.

42mins: Gardner another big winner at the far post from Carrick's corner, Jenas there for second ball but nodded over crossbar from eight yards.

47mins: Ball cannoned around the area, Cahill couldn't quite reach it six yards out and King cleared.
47mins: SAVE. Jenas burst from midfield through centre of Everton's defence, had time to pick spot, hit low side-foot effort that Wright saved well diving to his right.
48mins: SAVE. Confusion in Everton defence as Naysmith tried to cushion home header to Wright, Defoe nipped in six yards out but Wright got slightest of touches to flick ball wide.
52mins: Neville clipped ball in to Davies, he cushioned header back for Cahill to blast well wide from edge of box.
54mins: CHANCE. Defoe led break from Everton's attack, played square to Murphy who helped on to supporting Keane, he stepped inside Stubbs but curled over from 12 yards.
57mins: Jenas broke into box from right channel, great position but no-one really there to support and ran ball out of play.
58mins: GOAL DISALLOWED. Beattie onto Osman's pass and finished but flag up for offside in plenty of time

65mins: CHANCE. Lee picked out Keane's run ahead of Davies into box, control as expected but couldn't aim shot into corner as wanted to and Wright comfortably saved.

72mins: WOODWORK. Defoe yard of space on edge of box aimed curler to top corner - beat Wright all ends up only to crash back off underside of crossbar.
77mins: Low cross from Murphy sliced just wide of his own goal by Neville.
