Milos wins Under-20 World Cup!
20 June 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Milos Veljkovic helped Serbia make history by winning their first ever FIFA Under-20 World Cup title today (Saturday, June 20).
Our 19-year-old defender was once again ever-present for his nation as they beat Brazil 2-1 after extra time in the tournament final in Auckland, New Zealand.
Nemanja Maksimovic netted a dramatic 118th-minute winner after Serbia's second half lead, given to them by Stanisa Mandic, had been cancelled out by Brazil substitute and Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira.
Milos, who has played every minute of every game for Serbia at the tournament, came up with a key clearance in extra time at 1-1, denying substitute Malcom as he tried to put Brazil in front.
But it was Maksimovic who found the decisive strike, winning the match for Serbia with two minutes remaining.
