Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Milenko Acimovic admitted his great relief at scoring his first goal for the club in Monday evening's reserve team win over Chelsea.
Milo was undoubtedly the star of the show at the Recreation Ground, making his mark after just four minutes with a sweet left foot curler that dipped beyond home keeper Rhys Evans.
"I am really happy because it is the first time I have scored for Spurs," purred the Slovenian. "It makes everything much easier and I feel really comfortable now because I scored and we won the game.
"It was very important to score my first goal and I hope it opens up everything."
Our recruit from Red Star Belgrade in the summer was happy to concede that a great weight has lifted from his shoulders with the goal.
"I feel it - really, really. It has been about seven months for me without a goal. It is a fantastic feeling now.
"When you score one it makes everything easy because you feel you can add to it."
The only downside for Milo was his first half penalty miss following a trip on Jamie Slabber, but his earlier goal allowed him to adopt a philosophical view.
"It was a bad shot..."
Coach Colin Calderwood was also happy with the impact made by the attacking midfielder.
"Milo had a nice start and that got him warmed up," said Colin, who couldn't resist a little dig over the spot-kick miss. "Unfortunately, he had a back pass to the keeper with his penalty.
"He was a big influence, I don't know if he enjoyed it or not, but it looked as though he did. He certainly put in a real good shift and deserves any plaudits he gets."
