Dele Alli was MK Dons’ match winner as they travelled to Colchester United in League One on Tuesday evening.
Our recent signing, back with the Dons on loan for the remainder of the season, slotted beyond Colchester goalkeeper Sam Walker a minute before half-time after the hosts failed to fully clear a corner – scoring what turned out to be the only goal of the game as his side ran out 1-0 winners.
With his 14th goal of the season under his belt, Dele was substituted after 64 minutes.
In League Two, Nathan Oduwa went on as a half-time substitute for Luton Town as they sought to peg back a 1-0 first half deficit at Mansfield Town. The Hatters couldn’t find a way back into the game, though, with the scoreline staying the same until full-time.
On Wednesday evening, Ryan Fredericks completed the full 90 minutes for 10-man Middlesbrough as they secured a 1-1 draw at Birmingham City to go top of the Championship.
