Midweek loan watch

27 November 2013|Tottenham Hotspur

Ryan Mason returned to action for Swindon Town as the Robins held Crawley Town to a goalless draw on Tuesday evening.

Our on-loan midfielder put his recent injury setback behind him as he stepped off the bench for the last 16 minutes in League One, and he set up what was almost a winning goal for Mark Cooper’s men.

His pass found Nicky Ajose, but the striker’s effort cannoned off the post.

Grant Hall played 90 minutes at the back for Swindon, while Alex Pritchard came on as a substitute a few minutes before Ryan’s introduction. All three lads helped the visitors to see out the game following the dismissal of Nathan Byrne three minutes from time.

In the Championship, Bongani Khumalo’s Doncaster Rovers slumped to a 2-0 defeat at Charlton Athletic – but the visitors will count themselves particularly unlucky.

Rovers were leading 3-1 when the original game between the two sides was abandoned due to heavy rain back in August, but there was to be no such interference this time as the Addicks claimed the points.
