Alex Pritchard played 90 minutes for Brentford as they battled out their second goalless draw of the week on Tuesday night.

Having shared the spoils at Wigan on Saturday, the Bees’ Championship home match against Sheffield Wednesday also ended without score.

Elsewhere in that division on Tuesday night, Ryan Fredericks played 90 minutes for Middlesbrough as they lost 2-0 at Wolves – Milos Veljkovic maintaining a watching brief from the Boro bench.

Grant Hall was also an unused substitute for Birmingham City in their 1-0 loss at Blackburn Rovers, as was Kenny McEvoy for Peterborough United in their 1-0 League One defeat at Crewe Alexandra.

In League Two, Jordan Archer’s Northampton Town lost 3-1 at home to Oxford United while Shaq Coulthirst was a late substitute for Southend United in their 1-0 reverse at Newport County.
