A handful of our loanees were in action on Tuesday – but it was a disappointing night for them in the Football League.

Ryan Fredericks played 90 minutes for Millwall as they lost 1-0 at Blackpool, while Benoit Assou-Ekotto started for Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers in their 2-0 reverse at Brighton & Hove Albion. Benoit played 79 minutes before being withdrawn.

In League One, Alex Pritchard played the full game for Swindon Town as they crashed 4-1 at home against Wolves.

Better fortunes were enjoyed by Yago Falque in Spain on Monday night, however. He was involved in Rayo Vallecano’s successful turnaround at Real Socieded in La Liga, playing 73 minutes as Rayo recovered from a 2-1 half-time deficit to win 3-2.
