MIDO ON THE DRAW

Mido looked back on the Fulham stalemate and reflected that one goal would have completely changed the complexion of the game.

Mido looked back on the Fulham stalemate and reflected that one goal would have completely changed the complexion of the game.

Due to injuries, the Fulham side included six defenders in the starting X1 and the main objective was always likely to be the securing of a point. It led to the visitor's half being a congested area as they defended in numbers and managed to frustrate most attacking intentions.

"There were always a lot of bodies in the box and I had two chances," said the striker after his first game back at the Lane. "The one where I hit the post was from a difficult angle to score and the second one after the cross from Ledley which I didn't expect and didn't really see it coming.

"It was the kind of game where one goal opens it up and then there will be a lot of chances. It was a tough one for us.

"We should win our home games, but everyone did their best even though the result was not what we wanted. We're confident we will come back to getting good results."
