Michel has the last laugh!

Michel Vorm strolled into Hotspur Way with his head held high this morning (Wednesday, March 30).
The goalkeeper was a late call into the Dutch squad for last night’s friendly against England and sat proudly on the bench as his side toppled the Three Lions 2-1 at Wembley.
It was five against one - Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker in the England squad, Michel in the Dutch squad - but the one was the man with a smile on his face as all six headed back to Spurs.
“It’s a special night,” said Michel, capped 15 times by Holland. “It’s been quite a while since I’ve been with the national team and it’s always good to be there - and yes, if you play England at Wembley with five of the guys who you work with every day who are all good mates, it’s always good to win!
“There has been plenty of banter and we will talk again, definitely!
“England had a great win against Germany but tonight was our night. That’s football. You win some, you lose some!”

Despite getting one over his team-mates, Michel was quick to recognise the impact the Spurs contingent could have on the England team in years to come.
“I watched the game against Germany and you could see they have so much confidence and I’m sure England will enjoy their talent for the next few years,” added Michel, who has made seven appearances in all competitions for us this term.
“Harry, Dele, Eric Dier, they’ve all done so well and Danny Rose now, he’s played two games and done well. That’s positive for English football and very good for Spurs.”
