Memorable day as Juniors join first team photocall!

18 September 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

Five lucky One Hotspur Junior Members had a real day to remember at Hotspur Way this week.

We welcomed William Goddard (age six), Jenna Cohen (10), Aaron Nash (eight),  Max McGillycuddy (13) and Kirubel Yeneneh (nine) to the Training Centre to line up with the first team players as part of the official 2015-16 team photocall!

We asked Jenna and her dad, Harvey, to tell the story of their day.

“My dad told me about me winning the competition a few days before we were going. I was so shocked and could not believe it!” said Jenna.

“We looked on the website and when I realised I’d be the one in front of the players and manager I had a massive smile on my face for ages.”

Harvey added: “We’re still buzzing. When I got the call from Spurs I couldn’t believe it. I try to enter Jenna and her brother into all the Spurs competitions in the hope that they will win something. I got so many offers from other family members to take Jenna along, but there was no way I would have missed this one!”

With such a thrilling opportunity, it’s safe to say there were a few butterflies in Jenna’s stomach when the photographs began!

She continued: “I was really nervous when it was time to walk into the area where all the players were standing. Erik Lamela was smiling – he’s my favourite player. The best part of the whole experience was that I got to meet Lamela. He was very nice, he signed my book and let my dad take a picture of us both.”

Harvey summed it all up: “I am so proud that Jenna got to be in the official team photo. It was a great experience for both of us. Junior membership has been great for Jenna. We’ve used it for game tickets, competition entries and shop discounts. We would recommend membership for any young Spurs fans. Jenna also got to be a Flagwaver at her first game, which was great as well.”
