May's Hotspur - out now!

There's no mistaking the cover star of our latest Hotspur magazine.

One of the most recognisable hairstyles in the Premier League - let alone Spurs - adorns the cover and six pages inside.

And if there was ever such a thing as a hairstyle to match the individual flair of a player, that hairstyle belongs to Benoit Assou-Ekotto!

But Benoit's not in the latest official magazine to discuss hairstyles.

The flying full-back is more interested in reaching the 200-game milestone for the club, not least after his early career at the Lane was hit for six by a serious knee injury.

As we all know, he's bounced back, made the Lane and London his home and is now seen as one of the most consistent left-backs around.

Reflecting on the dark days - injury restricted him to minimal action between February, 2007 and the start of the 2008-09 campaign - Benoit admitted: "It was truly a difficult point in my career.

"When you are a footballer and you move somewhere, you naturally want play as much as you can from the first day to show that you are good enough to be there.

"So reaching 200 league and cup games for Spurs is an important point for me. I never thought it was possible when I was sitting at home worrying about my injury. It all looked so far away; a distant dream."

Look out for some fantastic photographs to accompany the feature.

That's just the start for May's magazine. Look out for lengthy features with Scott Parker and Kyle Walker while there are Q&A's with Hugo Lloris and Gylfi Sigurdsson. Want to know Hugo's favourite cheese? Or what other sport Gylfi was champion in? It's all there.

We're approaching a special anniversary - it's 50 years since we created history by becoming the first British team to win a European trophy.

We look back at that special night on May 15, 1963 when we hammered holders Atletico Madrid 5-1 in the final in Rotterdam. It's a four-page special, including an interview with Cliff Jones and the late, great Bobby Smith that originally appeared in theTottenham Hotspur Opus.

Celebrity fan Roger Lloyd-pack, an actor best known for his role as 'Trigger' in Only Fools And Horses, certainly remembers the day we brought home that European trophy. "There was an enormous sense of pride in becoming the the first British team to win a European trophy," he recalls.

Eddie Baily, the great Bill Nicholson's right-hand man, is also profiled.

Martin Peters will always be remembered as one of England's goalscorers in the 1966 World Cup Final - but he tasted plenty of glory at the Lane, including the UEFA Cup and two League Cups. Martin is featured over four pages in May's magazine.

With regular columns from Ossie Ardlies and Ledley King, features on Micky Hazard, Mark Robson and Jordan Archer, plus all the news, views, reports and photographs - May's Hotspur magazine is not to be missed!

84 pages, £3.50 - out now!
