Mauricio's big decision

08 September 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Mauricio Pochettino has a big decision to make - and admits it's the toughest part of his job.

Hugo Lloris is fit and available for Saturday's trip to Stoke after recovering from a hamstring injury in our opening day draw at Everton.

However, Michel Vorm has been in fine form in Hugo's absence.

He made a fine save after replacing Hugo at Goodison Park, kept a clean sheet as we toppled Palace and was outstanding in our 1-1 draw against Liverpool last time out.

"Yes, that is the worst (part of the job) because you have 24, 25 players who deserve to play but the rules say you can only pick 11!" said Mauricio.

"It’s always a tough decision for me to pick the starting 11, it’s difficult with every (position) but that is football.

"Every supporter will have a different idea and will pick different names, but this is my tough job to decide and select the starting 11. Sometimes it’s difficult to be fair with everyone but it’s football and they understand that and accept it."
