Mauricio on Janssen: 'Great player, great man'

Mauricio Pochettino described Vincent Janssen as a 'perfect fit' for the team when he arrived from AZ Alkmaar in July. Fans can now see why.
The striker's all-round game has caught the eye and his unrelenting work rate had supporters off their seats as we pushed for victory against Palace on Saturday.
Starting for the first time, with Harry Kane dropping into the '10' role, Vincent also had chances to make it the complete dream debut but was denied by a double save from Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey in the first half and then clipped a one-on-one chance wide after the break.

Vincent admitted he was therefore delighted to see fellow home debutant Victor Wanyama head home his 82nd-minute winner.
"The way Vincent fights and works for the team is unbelievable, one of his best skills," said Mauricio.
"Our supporters are very happy with his performance and we're happy as well.
"He’s a great, great player and great man as well and he's only 21, only young and he can improve a lot.
"Our expectations are big but it’s step by step because it’s his first season here in England and you have to give him time to work."
