Match report<br>Everton 0-1 Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Noe Pamarot was match winner and saviour in the space of four minutes in Saturday's victory at Goodison Park.
Our summer capture from French outfit Nice powered home his first goal for the club after 53 minutes.
But just as importantly - arguably even more so - he was on the spot to clear as Kevin Kilbane prepared to tap in the rebound after Leon Osman's shot rebounded off the post.
Pamarot's goal was one of simplicity. Robbie Keane took a short corner with Simon Davies, crossed from the right and the defender was there to plant his header into the top corner from 16 yards.
Apart from Osman's shot and Pamarot's clearance, Everton rarely threatened to equalise in the second half.
Indeed, if the second half felt more exciting, it was more to do with a couple of hefty challenges going in and the reaction of the crowd than chances created in either box.
In the end, it was another supreme defensive display with Everton failing to cash in on their purple patch in the first half.
That first period started slowly but the Toffees stepped it up to create two golden chances in the space of three minutes.
Tim Cahill hit the base of the post with the first after 15 minutes before turning provider for Osman, just six yards out, who forced a fine save from Paul Robinson, spreading himself Schmeichel-like to block.
Kevin Kilbane drilled across Robinson and just wide after 25 minutes and that was about that for efforts of note in the first 45 minutes.
The home side also had a couple of penalty appeals waved away and Erik Edman, having given the penalty away against United last week, must have had his heart in his mouth as he tangled with Bent in the fourth minute.
We didn't really get going as an attacking force in that half with Jermain Defoe working a couple of openings to little avail and Thimothee Atouba glancing a header wide in injury time.
The second half also started slowly before Pamarot's goal and apart from that and his clearance, very little actually happened.
The crowd were livened up by a couple of tackles from Jermain Defoe and Jamie Redknapp - both were booked - but Everton threw on Duncan Ferguson and eventually resorted to hitting long balls up to him.
Defensively we were too good for that and with blocks going in left, right and centre, Everton failed to carve out another chance.
