Spurs U19s 1-0 Chelsea
Andy Barcham's super strike secured the points and buried last week's disappointments against Reading.
The in-form striker (pictured right) beat two players before driving in what turned out to be the winning goal after 30 minutes.
Coach Pat Holland takes up the story: "It was a better performance than last week.We brought in four of the third years in to bolster us a bit and in fairness, Chelsea had a young side.
"We started well, looked bright, created chances but it took until the 30th minute to score, an excellent individual goal from Andy Barcham.
"We went in 1-0 up and needed the second goal really. They changed their system, went to a 4-5-1 and that made it more difficult for us. We still had one or two chances to increase it but it ended 1-0.
"The lads are doing alright. Jamie Slabber's come back in and adds that quality up front, Ifil looks accomplished at full-back, the boy Barcham has done well and all the first years have done well, so that's good news for the future."
Spurs U19s: Eyre, Ifil, Francis, Barnett (McKenna, 80), Foster, Dobson, Price (Hicks, 70), Barcham, Slabber, Black O'Hara. Unused subs: Hodges, Jenkins, Watson.
